Big 12th Indonesian Football Clubs main division to start soon


First round competition of big 12th football main division of the Indonesian League 2012/2013 will start simultaneously in several cities on June 28, an official said.

The competition organizer, PT Liga Indonesia has decided to conduct the full competition format "home and away" as a promotion round to the higher level of the Indonesia Super League (ISL), CEO of PT Liga Indonesia, Joko Driyono pointed out. 

"The first round of the big 12th soccer main division will take place on June 28, July 3 and 6, after that the match will break due to the Muslim fasting month of Ramadhan. The second round will resume after the Idul Fitr festivity namely on August 19, 23 and 27," he said.

The big 12th football main division 2012/2013 is participated in by 39 clubs which are divided into five groups, and the top two of each group will be taken to join the main division match, he said. 

In addition, four the best of the 12 clubs will compete in semifinal. Four the best are winners of each club and the runner-ups. 

The semifinal was scheduled to be held on September 6 and the final will be conducted on September 10, 2013, but the location for the match will be announced later, he noted.

The 12 clubs which will take part in the competition are as follows. 

Group A: PSCS Cilacap, Persik Kediri, Persisko Tanjabar, Perseta Tulungagung

Group B: Persebaya Surabaya, PS Bangka, PSBS Biak, PSIS Semarang

Group C: Perseru Serui, Persikabo Kabupaten Bogor, Perseba Super Bangkalan, PS Mojokerto Putra.

Indonesian fails to grab soccer's gold medal


The Indonesian national soccer team that took lead 1-0 at the first half over Morocco`s team at the 3rd Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG) 2013, finally lost 1-2 to Morocco here on Sunday night.

Morocco that fielded U-20 (under 20 years old) players eventually grabbed gold medal by defeating the host team at the second half.

The Indonesian national team that fielded the U-23 (under 23 years old) players netted the goal to Morocco`s wicket by Alfin Tuasalamony through the penalty spot, after the Morocco`s goal keeper violated the host striker Bayu Gatra.

The host team which was supported by thousands of spectators, at the Jakabaring sports stadium in Palembang, capital city of South Sumatra actually had a lot of opportunities to make goals, but the team failed to make more goals 

At the qualification round, the Indonesian soccer team successfully defeated the Morocco`s team on Thursday night (Sept.19). 

The Morocco`s team at the second half stepped up its pressure against the Indonesian team, and at the 70th minute El Hassouni Aymane equalized the score 1-1.

The second goal for Morocco`s team was made by El Karti Walid at the 81st minute. Thus, host team as the runner-up got silver medal.

Indonesian defeats S Korea 3-2

The Indonesian soccer team, defeated the South Korean club 3-2 (1-1) at the qualification final group G of AFC Cup U-19 (under 19 years old) in the Bung Karno main stadium here on Saturday night.

With this victory, the Indonesian squad automatically heads to the finals match of the AFC U-19 Cup in Myanmar in 2014, by having earned nine points in three matches.

Playing in heavy rain, the team continued putting pressure on the S Koran players, the pressure also came from S Korean team against the national team.

Of note, Evan Dimas made three goals at the 30th 49th and 85th minutes.

Meanwhile the host team consisting of Ravi Murdianto (goal keeper), Putu Gede Between June, Muhammad Fatchu Rochman, Evan Dimas Darmono (k)/Dio Permana, Muhammad Hargianto, Muchlis Ning Syaifulloh Hadi, Muhammad Sahrul Kurniawan, Maldini, Yama Hansamu Pranata, Zulfiandi/Hendra Zulfiandi dan Ilham Udin Armaiyn, Saifulloh, Muhammad Sahrul Kurniawan, Maldini, Hansamu Yama Pranata with Indra Safri as the Timnas coach.

Chelsea pledges to play its best against Indonesia

"The match against Indonesia is a test case for our players. We do not have a particular strategy. However, we will play our best," Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho said.  "
 
Chelsea has pledged to show its best performance when it plays a friendly match against BNI Indonesia All-Star here on Thursday although the London-based team does not prepare any strategy for it, Chelsea manager said.

"The match against Indonesia is a test case for our players. We do not have a particular strategy. However, we will play our best," Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho said here on Tuesday.

The match will take place at Bung Karno main stadium here on Thursday.

This is the first time for Chelsea to visit Indonesia. Mourinho said the visit was aimed at giving the best to its supporters in Indonesia and making the team bigger.

Asked about the strength of its opponent, the former Real Madrid manager admitted that he was still analyzing it.

"There is no special preparation. But we hope the game will run well," Mourinho, popularly known as "Special One", pointed out.

Chelsea`s visit to Indonesia is part of its 2013 Asian Tour. The tour is also meant to make preparation for the next season of English Premier League.

However, Chelsea does not bring its full team because six of its players some time ago defended their country in Confederation Cup in Brazil.

The six players are Fernando Torres, Juan Mata, Oscar, Cesar Azpilicueta and David Luiz. Meanwhile, Kevin Bruyne did not join the visit because of injury.

However, some players such as Frank Lampard, John Terry, Ramires, Demba Ba, Eden Hazard, Peter Cech, Ashely Cole join the team to play against Indonesia. They pledged to play their best.

Chelsea arrived in Indonesia via Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta at 01.00 pm on Tuesday. In its previous friendly matches, Chelsea beat Thailand All Star 1-0 and defeated Malaysia 4-1.

DC United allows Syamsir Alam to join Indonesian U-23 squad


DC United permits Syamsir Alam to join Indonesia's under-23 league which will compete at SEA Games 2013 in December. DC United owner Erick Thohir said he appreciated Alam being called-up by Young Garuda, the Indonesian squad.

"We are welcome the plan," said Thohir in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Thohir hopes PSSI and Badan Tim Nasional (BTN) will provide the right procedure to call Alam, including sending official letter to the Major League Soccer team management.

"I hope they (PSSI) send an official letter (to DC United) thi month. I'm sure the management will permitt if the letter comes earlier," said the boss of Mahaka Group.

Alam is included into the list of 70 players that will be selected by Indonesia's U-23 coach Rahmad Darmawan in August."Hopefully Alam can perform his best so he will make it to the first team," said Thohir.

Twenty-year old Alam is recently described as Indonesian future star. However, he never been called-up by Indonesia senior team and have not played yet for DC United first team since his arrival in United States last February.

Allow FIFA Wear Turbans At Compete, as long as ...


Federation of International Football Association, FIFA, has decided that the male head coverings can be worn in a game, a decision that was contrary to the ban on wearing turban by Quebec, Canada.
FIFA says male players must wear headgear as long as the same color as team uniforms, look "professional," not attached to the shirt and not "pose a hazard." Canadian football federation has asked FIFA to make a decision on the issue after Quebec was not willing to overturn the ban on wearing turbans in the entire province as reported by the VOA.
Brigitte Frot, Director General of the Quebec provincial football association, said the provincial federation that would allow the use of turban if FIFA take it safely. The ban mainly affects the Sikh men who wear turbans for religious reasons.

Argentina Supporters Killed in Feud with Police


A spectator was killed and another injured when a fight broke out between police and hooligans "Barrabravas" in the Argentine first division match in La Plata on Tuesday (11/6) morning GMT.

Real Betis Contract Danish national team goalkeeper
