Indonesia Cellular Show 2013 Officially Opened


Organizers Indonesia Cellular Telecommunications Association (ATSI) officially opened the Indonesia Cellular Show (ICS) 2013 today, June 12, 2013, at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC).

In the implementation of ICS this year, ATSI will showcase the development of mobile telecommunication technologies, ranging from innovative gadgets, the latest features of telecommunication services, and seminars to discuss the development of the telecommunications industry of the country.

Minister of Communication and Information, Tifatul Sembiring said the government strongly supports the telecommunications industry activities that benefit the community by displaying the progress of communication technology in Indonesia.

"The growth of the telecommunications industry nationwide reaching more than 10 percent, so putting this industry as one of the driving force of the economy," said Tifatul in his speech.

"Hope the government, exhibitions ICS 2013 can increase public and investor confidence in the Indonesian telecommunications industry," said Tifatul.

Meanwhile, Alex J Sinaga, said ATSI Chairman, ICS 2013 exhibition is expected to boost investor confidence in the community and also to the Indonesian telecommunications industry.

"This year ICS comes with the theme 'Infinite Possibility Small Things', which emphasizes the important role of mobile phones in human life," said Alex.

ICS this year followed by 23 companies consisting of 19 principals and distributors, featuring the best products ranging from cellular products, computers, and electronics.

With many participants who display their best products, ICS target number of visitors up 10-15 percent from the year before to reach 197 378 people, a 216 700 people in this year.

While the transaction will rise to 3-5 percent from the previous year which reached Rp587 billion, Rp615 billion in the year to this.

ICS 2013 was held at the Plenary Hall and Main Lobby Jakarta Convention Center on 12-16 June 2013. Visitors simply pay Rp 5,000 for admission on weekdays. While the weekend, Saturday and Sunday, admission will apply 15,000 per person.
