China will import trillions of dollars of Indonesian cocoa


The largest country in Asia, China, will import cocoa ore from Indonesia amounted to U.S. $ 1 trillion over the next five years. This was revealed by Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, HE Wang Yi, after meeting with the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Hatta Rajasa, Thursday, May 2, 2013.

In addition to importing raw materials of chocolate, the Chinese investors, according to Wang Yi, in the next five years, will be poured investment of U.S. $ 1.5 trillion to the world.

"We expect our Indonesian friends can take more share of the investment," said Wang Yi.

He explained that, during the cooperation between China and Indonesia continues to increase every year. However, both countries are still a lot of potential that can be developed in the future.

He explained that, until recently, the volume of trade between the two countries amounted to U.S. $ 60 billion and personnel interaction between Indonesian businessman with China reached 600 thousand people per year.

"The cooperation is still lacking and have not reflected our strength together. We will continue to exploit the potential of this partnership," he said.

Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Hatta Rajasa said the Indonesian government welcomed the intention of the Chinese government. The government also plans to increase cooperation between the two countries, especially Indonesia's exports to China increased by two-fold in 2015.

"We also want Chinese investors to invest in Indonesia to process the wealth of natural resources such as marine, agro, and minerals," he said.
