Red Hat managed to prove itself as one of the major players in the open source world. Not long ago, Red Hat reveals that they achieve profit growth for 44 consecutive quarters.
In the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2013, Red Hat managed to get a fairly high intake increased. In the quarter, they earn an income of 348 million U.S. dollars, up 17 percent compared with the same quarter in the previous fiscal year.
Overall fiscal year 2013, Red Hat managed to earn a total revenue of 1.33 billion U.S. dollars, up 17 percent from fiscal year 2012.
The amount of the benefits achieved by Red Hat in the 4th quarter of fiscal year 2013 amounted to 43 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 35 million U.S. dollars from the previous quarter.
Total, Red Hat made a profit of 150 million U.S. dollars during the last fiscal year 2013.
To sustain these achievements, Red Hat has a strategy. One way is to hold a variety of business partners. According to Red Hat, the global business they have developed over the past four years with the booking channel 53 percent of total bookings in 2008 to 60 percent in fiscal year 2012, and recently reached 62 percent in fiscal year 2013.
Red Hat claims, the solutions they develop are used in more than 90 percent of companies in the list of Forbes 500. The service users of Red Hat includes a number of business verticals, including financial services, technology, and media.
Companies such as Amazon, IBM, Goodyear, and Siemens, are known to use the services of Red Hat.
