Hardline Sunni clerics from Lebanon Ahmad al-Assir yesterday warned all citizens that the war has now arrived in Lebanon.
In a Friday sermon yesterday Assir confirms Hizbullah intervene in a civil war in Syria could trigger retaliation Sunnis in the next few days and can occur anywhere, including in Lebanon, as reported by Al-Arabiya television station on Saturday (15/6).
In April Assir urged his followers to support the Syrian rebels fighting the regime of al-Assad Bechar. Assad is supported by a group Hezbollah.
"Lately we see our brothers the Sunnis in Qusayr attacked, killed, and butchered by a group of Iranian ally. Already a duty to see Sunni victory," he said.
Yesterday the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt has also called for jihad in Syria. They criticized Hezbollah who started a sectarian war in Syria.
"Since time immemorial Sunni never involved in starting a sectarian war," said spokesman Ahmed Arif.
Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah yesterday said his group does not start a war against Sunnis but fighting Israeli-American conspiracy to dominate the Middle East.
