Samsung, HTC,
and LG, agreed
to co-develop battery
charger wireless technology
(wireless charging). The three officially joined the
group Power Matters Alliance (PMA), Wednesday
(04/17/2013).
PMA push wireless charging technology
standards. The organization
claimed, has spread 1,500 wireless battery
charger into strategic
places such as coffee
shops, airports, and other locations in the United
States and Europe.
"We welcome HTC, LG and Samsung in the PMA,"
said PMA Board
member Jeff Howard in a press release.
This group has
members that consist
of technology and telecommunications companies, including AT &
T, Google, BlackBerry,
NEC, Texas Instruments
and ZTE.
In 2014, the
PMA members are
encouraged to adopt wireless
charging technology in several products,
including tablets and smart phones which
is currently experiencing growth.
"To make
it a reality for consumers
around the world and
direct support for the ecosystem, we require hardware manufacturers
to integrate wireless charging
solutions PMA certified
in 2014," said Howard.
