One of the goals to be achieved
by Google when it acquired Motorola is patent. Motorola
is known as the company that owns 17,000 patents and 7,500 patent applications. By having Motorola and its patent, Google is believed to
compete with rivals such as Apple and its partners to protect from lawsuits.
In addition, this acquisition,
the largest in Google's history, will also mark the most significant step the
Internet giant to jump into the hardware business, a new market where they have
little experience.
Until now, since it was
purchased with a value of 12.5 billion U.S. dollars in May, Motorola has yet to
launch a smartphone product really well. Have
not seen signs of Motorola will launch a device that is able to compete with
Apple's iPhone and Samsung's Galaxy S series. However, in 2013, a trusted source ensures Motorola will
again speak in the competitive arena of smart phones.
Currently, according to the
source, Google and Motorola are working on two smartphone products. The
first product is intended for in-bundling with U.S. operators, Verizon
Wireless.
Second of these products to be
used as a weapon to compete against Apple and Samsung in the smartphone market.
For
a while, it is still not known the name of the device. However,
to begin with, many people who call this device codenamed "X Phone".
Still nothing too much detailed
information regarding the X Phone. However,
the source of leaked Motorola will use Viewdle technology, a developer of
imaging software and the introduction of the movement which was recently
acquired by Google.
Super smartphone from Motorola
is rumored to be using a ceramic material, has a panoramic camera, and voice
recognition features natively.
Once completed later developed
X Phone, Motorola will not go past the break. They
will immediately focus on developing a tablet device.
Quoted by Reuters on Saturday
(12/22/2012), Google CEO, Larry Page, has promised to provide marketing funds
in significant numbers for the devices.
