Umar when his taking office as the Commander of the Faithful, had come to him several rabbis. They said to the Caliph, "O Caliph Umar, you are a holder of authority after Muhammad and his companions, Abu Bakr. We wanted to ask some important issues to you. If you can give an answer to us, then we would understand that Islam is the true religion and Muhammad is truly a prophet. Conversely, if you are not able to give an answer, it means that Islam is not a falsehood and the Prophet Muhammad. "
"Please ask about anything you want," said the Caliph Umar.
Explain to us about the master key (padlock) button up the sky, is it? "Ask the priests, begin the questions." Describe to us about the existence of a cemetery that runs along its inhabitants, does it? Show us about a being who can give warning to his people, but he is not a human and not a genie! Explain to us about the five kinds of creatures that can walk on the surface of the earth, but the creatures are not born from the womb mother or parent! Tell us what was said by the quail (gemak) when he was singing! Does that say he was when his rooster crowing! Does that say when he was neighing horse? Is a frog at the time said he is speaking out? Does that say when he is braying donkey? What is said by the time he sparrows were twittering? "
Caliph Umar bowed his head to think for a moment, then said, "For Umar, if he answered 'do not know' to questions that did not know the answer, it's not a shameful thing!"
Caliph Umar heard an answer like that, rabbis who ask stood bobbing with excitement, saying, "Now we bear witness that Muhammad is not a prophet, and Islam is a religion of falsehood!"
Salman Al-Farisi who was present, immediately got up and said to the Jewish priests: "You wait a minute!"
He quickly went to the house of Ali ibn Abi Talib. After the meeting, Salman said: "O Abal Hasan, save Islam!"
Ali puzzled, then asked: "Why?"
Salman then tell what is being faced by the Caliph Umar ibn Khattab. Imam Ali immediately headed to the Caliph Umar, running roll wear Burdah (a piece of cloth covering the back or neck) relics of the Prophet Muhammad. When Umar saw Ali bin Abi Talib came, he got up from his seat and rush to hug him, saying: "O Abal Hasan, each of great difficulty, I called you always!"
Once face to face with the priest who was waiting for that answer, Ali ibn Abi Talib said, "Have you guys ask about anything you want. Prophet has taught me a thousand kinds of science, and each type of science that has a thousand branches of science! "
The rabbis then repeat their questions. Before answering, Ali ibn Abi Talib said, "I want to make a reservation to you, that is if it turns out I'll have to answer your questions as it is in the Torah, you are so willing to embrace our religion and faith!"
"Oh good!" They replied.
"Now ask one by one," said Ali.
They began to ask, "Is the parent key (padlock) that fasten the gates of heaven?"
"Holding the key," said Ali ibn Abi Talib, "Allah is shirk. For all the servants of God, whether male or female, if she bersyirik to God, charity will not be able to rise to the presence of God! "
The rabbi said, "The key is to open the gates of heaven?"
Ali replied, "The key is the testimony (shahada) that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah!"
The rabbi looked at one another among them, and said, "That guy's right!" They asked further, "Explain to us about the existence of a grave that can run with the residents!"
"The grave is shark (hut) which swallowed Jonah the son of Matta," said Ali. "AS Jonah was sent around the seven oceans!"
The pastors continue the question again, "Explain to us about being able to give a warning to the nation, but the creature was not human and not a genie!"
Ali then said, "That thing is ant son Solomon AS Prophet Dawud AS, Ant said to his people, 'O the ants, go into your residence, so as not to be trampled by Sulayman and his troops in a state they do not conscious! "
The rabbi was forwarding the question, "Tell us about the five types of beings who walk on the earth's surface, but not a single one among the creatures which are born from his mother's womb or mother!"
Ali replied, "Five creatures that are, first, Adam. Second, Eve. Third, the Prophet Saleh Camel. Fourth, Lamb Prophet Ibrahim. Fifth, Moses' cane (which was transformed into a snake). "
After hearing the answers and explanations given by Ali ra, two of the three rabbis then said, "We testify that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah!"
