Saudi clerics call Dubai the city of sin


Ulema of Saudi Arabia has made statements controversy. He issued a fatwa women were banned from traveling to the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, because there are many things sinful and immoral.

Al Arabiya television reported on Monday (17/6), Sheikh Mohammed al-Shanar using social networking accounts on Twitter in order to answer a question from a woman if she could visit Dubai without guard him. "I said, going to Dubai is prohibited even with escorts muhrim or not," said al-Shanar wrote on Twitter.

In Saudi Arabia women normally travel with guards man. Fatwa al-Shanar protests of social networking users even fellow clerics. Sheikh Abdulaziz al-Fauzan, a professor of Islamic law said the fatwa was misguided.

Fauzan assess Dubai is not as bad as it seems. "Many of the Muslims could visit," he said. Indeed, the city is very open compared to Saudi Arabia. Dubai receives foreign tourist arrivals from various cultural backgrounds and religions. That's why Dubai is growing. The city also allows the nightclub and liquor.

Fauzan also said better visit DUbai have a background in language, culture, and beliefs together with the Saudis than the villagers went to non-Muslim countries.

Some Twitter users called for making fatwa nonsense immediately arrested. Including fatwa handsome boys should not be the way together with handsome men another, and the veil of female infants.
