Two Indonesian fishermen stranded in the Indian Ocean


Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia managed to repatriate Indonesian citizen two fishermen stranded at sea Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India.

The second fisherman who had the initials M (29) and R (37) was rescued by the Indian maritime patrol after bobbing in the open sea for six days.

The events began when engine boat carrying the Acehnese fishermen suddenly died and drifted until finally entering the Indian waters.

"Since October 20, 2012, M and R immigration accommodated in Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands within 6,872 km from New Delhi." Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a release received by the headline, Friday, February 8, 2013.

Consular staff functions Indonesian Embassy (embassy) in New Delhi immediately took the second fisherman to New Delhi, as there is no international airport of the Andaman Nicobar.

New homecoming can be realized on Thursday, February 7, 2013, both bound for Aceh to use the plane to Banda Aceh.

M also feel that life experience brings memories he experienced very significant because he has not had time to give the name of her second child, which was born because he was at sea.

According to official data held by the Embassy in New Dehli, since 2010, 22 Indonesian fishermen stranded in the Indian region.
