7 Super Computer that changed the world

No doubt if the computer has changed human lifestyle. Even some of whom have contributed to the life of the human race. 7 super computer like the following.
Super computer is not a regular computer. This machine is designed to handle many complex calculations that can hardly be done by the computer in general.
The first super computer called Control Data Corp. (CDC) 6600 comes in 1965 with the single core processor speed 100 nanoseconds, the fastest chip in the era.
Now, after years of super computers has undergone tremendous changes in technology, some of which were made to help improve the quality of life for mankind.
Here are 7 super computer that works and will change the world, as quoted by Forbes.

IBM Watson

IBM's super computer Watson has been used by the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Watson, the computer calls, work with your doctor to provide the latest cancer data, diagnostics and creating the most personalized treatment plan for the patient.
Unlike other supercomputer, Watson can process and understand the language well enough. IBM says that, with its memory of Watson can process 500 GB of information per second. This is the equivalent of 1 million books per second.
Watson role in the medical world is also becoming large, the doctors are now able to get information about the disease much faster with the super computer capabilities.

Fujitsu K

Fujitsu K holds the title as the fastest supercomputer in the world for being able to perform up to quadrillion calculations per second, or the equivalent of 10 petaflops per second.
Each unit CPU in it has 16 GB of RAM memory, with the total reaching 1,377 terabyte. Fujitsu K is also quite power hungry, as it requires a power of 12 megawatts, equivalent to the electricity consumption at 30 thousand homes.
In addition to having the ability to make the world a better pharmacy, super computers can also be used to develop solar cells that can create a more effective energy.
Fujitsu K is also sometimes used to study seismic wave propagation in order to predict the effect of the tsunami on the building, the data could then be used to improve the quality of construction in earthquake zones.

The Tianhe-1A

Before the title of fastest supercomputers disabet by Fujitsu K supercomputer from China is called the fastest. The Tianhe-1A, is able to do the calculations up to 2.51 petaflops per second.
Housed at the National Supercomputer Center in Tianjin, China, CNN reported that these machines are being used for research to find a cure, storms and tsunami modeling, cancer research, car design and study the formation of galaxies.

Computer Super Titan

Not to be outdone by China or Japan, the United States made its own move for the fastest supercomputers in the world. Jaguar supercomputer, located at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee, is undergoing a massive upgrade that will be completed in late 2012.
The supercomputer will be renamed Titan and will be capable of performing 20 quadrillion calculations per second, or about twice as much as Fujitsu K. Jaguar used to study alternative energy technologies and climate change, and other useful things.

Super Computer Sierra

Sierra supercomputer managed by GE Global Research is made to research about the use of fuel-based injection. Super computer is expected to accelerate human understanding of fuel injection and better able to create more efficient engines.
Current super computers Sierra focus research turbine fuel for aircraft, locomotive and engine even though other ground vehicles can also be done.

IBM Blue Gene

Rutgers University in New Jersey recently began making the center of the High-Performance Computing (HPC), the facility was supported by an IBM supercomputer Blue Gene / P.
The facility is expected to contribute much in the academic world. According to the manager, the super computer is used to perform a variety of research, including cancer and genetic research, medical imaging and informatics, advanced manufacturing processes, climate and environmental research, and materials science.

Super Computer Next

Currently a team of experts from Dusseldorf, Germany, has developed a super computer that was developed from the Control Data Corp. (CDC) 6600, super commuter ancestor who was introduced in 1965.
Super computers are yet to be named was predicted to be the most super supercomputer next. Therefore, the researchers that make this device works by simulating the workings of the human brain.
But it seems that the computer will not show up in the near future. Professor Henry Markram, the leader of the development of the super computer estimates the manufacturing process will take up to 12 years into the future.
