Investors Pull interest sake, the PRC ambassador Ask RI Consistent Policy


Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia, Liu Jianchao, judging that the country's investment relations in this country continues to grow. But there are some things to consider government and businesses in Indonesia in attracting more foreign direct investment, especially from China.
"I think it's time Chinese companies gain a better position now to invest in Indonesia. Due Indonesia now know better, we know the investment environment in the country, we know how to do business with the people of Indonesia," Mr Liu said in a special interview with headline.
In general, he considered that the Indonesian government has made a strong effort to improve the investment environment for foreign companies. The procedure is now considered to be more open and transparent.
However, China hopes the Indonesian government to maintain stability and consistent with the policy. "I know the policy may change according to the situation, but in order to attract foreign investment, consistent policy so desired by foreign companies," said Mr Liu.
If foreign companies want to invest in Indonesia, usually will recruit local workers to save costs. However, in some cases, they have to bring their own people, though it is expensive.
"Usually they consist of experts, and some management. I hope the Indonesian government to facilitate them in making visa. But in general has been good," said Liu.
He also warned that when dealing with Indonesia, China is not a traditional investor. "We started investing in this country probably about 10 years ago. Yet investment in Indonesia is also growing very rapidly," said Mr Liu.
In contrast, Liu said, companies in Indonesia also know how to do business with Chinese investors. "We were in the middle of the level of" comfortable "in the bilateral investment relationship. Consequently, we assure companies in China, Indonesia is the perfect place to invest," he said.
