Provocative actions carried Tennessee state lawmaker. He published a photo containing threatening messages against American Muslims via the Facebook social network.
The photo shows a man carrying a weapon cowboy. Then, in the photo it says "How can a Muslim wink". This photo was subsequently sparked a fierce debate in Tennessee.
Muslim Advisory Council members, Drost Kokoye, said the photo was probably just a picture. However, the picture contains a message in the form of a threat. "We feel intimidated," he said as quoted Onislam.net, Thursday (2/5).
Sabina Mohyuddin, a Muslim Nashville, said the photo was such leads to he and his family. "We admit that this is a form of discrimination. We are very careful about this," he said.
"I am a second generation American Muslim. My children are the third generation, and we do not see ourselves unless America," tambanya.
Director of Research and Documentation of Islamophobia, University of Berkeley, Hatem Bazian said the photo uploaded is an attempt to speed up the hostility between the United States and Muslim communities. "A racist will always find a way to express their sentiments," he said.
Surely, he said, a way to overcome this kind of U.S. Muslims by telling the American public that it is not acceptable.
Daniel Tutt, interfaith activist judge is not surprising when Islamophobia case re-emerged in Tennesse. "The initial reaction of Muslims is indeed very unfortunate.'s Actually a problem that would not be tolerated if it happened to the Jewish community and the Afro-American," he said.
