Month of May 2013 will be one of the most beautiful months in 2013. There are three beautiful celestial phenomena that can be enjoyed.
This weekend, specifically Sunday (05/05/2013) night, there will be a meteor shower Eta Aquariids are ready to entertain. This meteor shower is caused when the Earth's atmosphere interacts with the comet Halley dust.
Eta Meteor Aquariids seemed to appear from the constellation Aquarius. In ideal conditions, there are 30-60 meteors can be seen each hour.
After the meteor shower, citizens of Indonesia will be able to see the phenomenon of solar eclipse on May 10, 2013. Pacific population could see the phenomenon of solar eclipse ring. Unfortunately, Indonesia is only able to see the partial solar eclipse.
Solar eclipses occur because the Moon covers the Sun disc. There are three phenomena that could arise solar eclipse, which is total, partial, and rings.
Total solar eclipse occurs when the Moon covers the entire solar disk. While, the partial eclipse, only part of the Sun's disk covered. In the solar eclipse ring, the ring structure will look beyond the Moon covering the Sun.
Solar eclipse ring is the most unique, occurs because the Moon shadow covering the sun is not up to the surface of the Earth.
The third celestial phenomena which will occur in May is a penumbral eclipse of the Moon. Lunar Eclipse is distinctive because it is sometimes difficult to identify with the naked eye. Eclipse will not look like an eclipse.
Penumbral lunar eclipse will take place on May 25, 2013. Penumbral lunar eclipse occurred previously on November 20, 2012.
The whole phenomenon can occur when the sky is sky support, no clouds and rain. Hopefully forecasts that in May many parts of Indonesia has entered dry completely. If there is no cloud, the observations can not be maximal.
Ready to show the sky this month? Make a note of the dates mentioned. Do not forget, planets like Jupiter and Saturn will still be seen also in the month of May
