Syrian troops kill 62 The City of Banias


The bodies of 62 people found in the Sunni city of Banias, Syria. Human Rights Watch said in a statement Organization Syria, Saturday (04/05/2013).

"The bodies of dozens of people were killed on Friday (03/05/2013), during an attack in the Syrian army in the Sunni city of Banias was found on Saturday," the agency said.

"We've identified the name, photo, or video 62nd bodies. There are 14 children among the dead. The death toll could rise as dozens of people still missing," said London-based organization that.

This mass murder was the second massacre reported in Banias throughout the week.

On Thursday (02/05/2013), at least 50 people were killed in a Sunni village in Bayda, south coast Banias.

"Witnesses said at least 50 civilians were killed, including women and an ak-friendly," the watchdog added.

"Some people really diekseskusi. They were shot dead, stabbed or burned alive," said the report.

After the massacre, which reportedly occurred on Friday (03/05/2013), forces Bashar al-Assad's regime began bombarding Banias causing residents to leave the city.

"Hundreds of families have left the area in Banias because Sunnis fear a new massacre," the Syrian Human Rights Monitoring Agency director, Rami Abdel Rahman.

"They fled to the cities in the south such as Tartus and Jableh," added Rami.
