Navy will be reinforced with 11 anti-submarine helicopters. Currently procuring 11 anti-submarine helicopters that had entered the bidding process. Target realization was in October 2014.
"We expect 11 anti-submarine helicopters has been able to pride during the anniversary of the military in 2014," as stated by Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal) Admiral Marsetio in Sidoarjo, Friday, February 22, 2013.
The auction process is running in the Ministry of Defense, there are three companies that took part, a company from the United States, France and Britain. If one company successfully passed the prescribed specifications of the Navy, then the company is what will win the auction because the auction is open.
Marsetio said, with the procurement of eleven helicopters will reactivate squadron 100 formerly owned by the navy. Like to know the heyday of Indonesia, 1965, at which time the Navy had 100 Squadron supported by anti-submarine helicopters.
