Nearly a hundred thousand people died in the civil war in Syria


According to a recent report issued by the United Nations (UN) at least 93 thousand people have been killed in Syria since the start of the conflict that has rocked the country since March 2011.

Bbc.co.uk website reported on Thursday (13/6), this figure also represents a sharp rise in the death toll of more than 30 thousand people since the UN issued a report last digit in January.

The UN also said at least five thousand people were killed in Syria every month since the end of Juli.Namun, said that these statistics are not fully accurate because it is believed there are still many deaths are not reported.

More than 80 percent of those killed were men. But the UN also said it has secured a fact that more than 1,700 deaths that include children under the age of ten years.

"There are cases where children were tortured and executed. Then the whole family, including a baby, were slaughtered.'s A reminder of how cruel and terrible civil war," said UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navi Pillay.
