Panzer Anoa PT.PINDAD Indonesia

APS 6x6 armored cars, armored vehicle personnel carrier (APC) is an armored fighting vehicle whose primary function is to transport infantry to the battlefield. Panzer was developed by PT-Pindad, Indonesia's state-owned enterprises to develop small arms and military vehicles. This vehicle is specifically designed for the needs of cavalry and can carry ten personnel, including three crew members, a driver, a commander and a gunner.

APC is designed, engineered and developed by PT.PINDAD, which also provides vehicle maintenance facility. With a contract value of approximately 51 million dollars.

Development Panzer APC 6x6 ANOA 
 
Historical development of the Panzer ANOA occurred in 2003 when the military requested the government to provide APC to transport infantry in Aceh province. PT.PINDAD also responds to the needs and quickly develop APR-1V or Lightweight Transport Personnel. In 2004, this vehicle has been sent to Aceh to use the military in carrying out their duties.

Agency for Development and Application of Technology (BPPT) assisted PT.PINDAD then cooperate in further developing this vehicle in 2005. At that time, APS-1 (Personnel Transport Medium) has been developed in the same year. 
 
Panzer 6x6 design ANOA
 
Panzer APC 6X6 driver runs the vehicle by sitting on the right side, while the commander sits on the left side. Vehicles monocoque hull design. The design is different from its predecessor and consists coated hull of thick steel. Also included in the development of suspension with torsion bar suspension system which was developed exclusively.
 
APC variants 
 
The first variant of the APC which is developed Lightweight Transport Personnel (APR-1V) in 2004. It is a 4x4 armored vehicle and has a Isuzu truck chassis.

APS-1 6x6 armored cars made by Perkasa truck platform, commercial domestic product PT Texmaco, is the next variant developed. APS-1 but not been mass produced.

When the military returned PT.PINDAD asked to develop the next generation of armored vehicle types, APS-2 immediately made.

Then came the APS-3 armored vehicles that we know as the Panzer ANOA, first exhibited at the military parade on October 5, 2008. The prototype vehicle was unveiled in October 2006. And formally also on display at the Indo Defence and Aerospace 2008. 



Not just to be here, PT.PINDAD continue to develop these types of vehicles, the APS 6x6 maintain the quality remains the benchmark model. Variants support the development of vehicles including fire, ambulance, command, logistics, armored recovery, reconnaissance and mortar carrier. 
 
Order and Shipping Panzer APC 6x6 in the Interior 
 
Indonesian Ministry of Defence has ordered 150 units of APS-2 6x6 APC, plus 4 armored reconnaissance unit in PT.PINDAD in 2008. In February 2010, Pindad has delivered as many as 93 units of APS-2 in 3 different phases and stages. Full delivery was completed in late 2010.

In the first phase of deliveries, PT.PINDAD handed over 20 units of APS-2 6X6 to the Indonesian Defense Ministry in February 2009. The second stage on July 7, 2009 amounted to 40 units of APS-2 6x6.

On January 13, 2010, re-transmit 33 unti PINDAD APS-2 6x6 armored vehicles. Of the 33 units, 20 units are used by the Indonesian army, while the remainder is used for Indonesian Peacekeeping Force in Lebanon.

 
Delivery of the remaining 61 Panzer delivered in late 2010. With the first phase of 44 units in July and the second phase of 17 units in September 2010. In August 2008, PINDAD has produced 10 APS-3 and has produced a lot for military use

Renault Turbo Charged Diesel engine 
 
Renault car manufacturer which is based in France that supplies engines and transmissions to APS 6x6. Type of machine used in APS 6x6 vehicles are Renault MIDR 062 045 six cylinder Turbo Charged Diesel.

Panzer weaponry 6x6 
 
Located at the top on the left side of the Panzer APS 6x6. Both can be armed with a machine gun or grenade launcher. 12.7 mm caliber machine guns, while the automatic grenade launcher caliber 40 mm. Specifications arms is not absolute, depending on the order book.

In addition, two types of heavy weapons can be placed in the front and rear of the vehicle. Panzer APS 6x6 is also equipped with night mode and the 6 ton crane. Communication facilities include VHF / FM (anti-jamming and hopping) and GPS
