U.S. drone kills militants Yemen


A high-ranking Al Qaeda and reportedly killed four militants were killed in the attack unmanned owned United States (U.S.). The attack occurred in the capital of Yemen, Sanaa on Wednesday, April 17.

So far, the U.S. continues to increase attacks against Al-Qaeda region Arabian Peninsula (AQAP). The group is suspected AQAP in Yemen is building strength and is rated as one of the global militant network in the world's most dangerous armed. So reported Reuters on Thursday (04/18/2013).

AQAP group exploit anti-government protests in Yemen 2011. In time to mess around with the Yemeni government protests, the group seems to have taken a chance with AQAP took over several areas in southern Yemen. While in a drone attack this time a senior AQAP named Hamid al-Radmi reported killed along with four of his followers. Al-Radmi killed when a U.S. drone attack in possession Wessab City, Dhamar province. Until now there has been no official statement from AQAP about the attack.

The U.S. and its allies in the Gulf region continues to strive to improve stability and security in Yemen. During this time, Yemen is considered a top priority because of its location adjacent to Saudi Arabia, known as a major oil exporter to the United States and has the largest oil shipping lane.
