Maluku provincial
management of the Indonesian Amateur Boxing Association (Pertina) will
send five boxers to the national boxing championship scheduled to be
held in Lahat District, South Sumatra, on May 17 through 25, 2013.
The five boxers are Steven Kastanya (52 kg), Buce Tibalimeten (64 kg) dan Erwin Tonga (81 kg) and two female Maria Ohiulun (54 kg) and Ester Kalayukin (60 kg), said Agus Titaley, the chairman of the technical and match affairs commission here on Sunday.
All the boxers have been undergoing intensive training in the Maluku provincial city of Ambon, he said.
Meanwhile, Organizing Committee Chairman of the national boxing championship, Dhenie Zainal said in Palembang recently that the event which will take place in Lahat District, is expected to be participated in by 33 provinces.
According to Dhenie, there will be 13 classes in the national competition including light weight 81 kg in men`s category.
