Learning from Boston, London Marathon Tightens Security




Implementation of international marathon in London, England, remain to be implemented, although a similar event marred bomb blast in Boston, USA. However, learning from the Boston, London Marathon organizers will increase the security when the race took place.

Reported by Reuters on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, the London marathon committee will review the security of their systems ahead of the international marathon next 21 April 2013.

"Our security plan in cooperation with the Metropolitan Police and we immediately contacted them after hearing bombing in Boston," said committee chairman Nick Bitel London marathon.

Bitel said he and British police have designed a security plan and anticipation for the various types of threats and incidents. After the events of Boston, they return what they re about security less in later.

"This is what we will do in the hours and days ahead," said Bitel.

In a statement, too, Bitel condole the explosion incident that killed three people and injured more than 140 men.

"Speech Our condolences to the people there and their families. This is a sad day for the world of athletics and for friends as well as our colleagues in the world to run a marathon," said Bitel.

Marathon in London has been held every year from 1981. Last year, the race was attended by 37,000 people.
