Intel announced the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with mobile operator Telkom, in Jakarta, Wednesday (08/05/2013). The cooperation includes the provision of broadband Internet access package bundling Speedy with Intel products.
Every purchase of an Intel-based new product includes a desktop PC, notebook, tablet, smartphone, ultrabook, until the processor will get Instant Speedy prepaid card with free internet access for 6 months.
More details, buyers Intel Speedy will get free access as much as 120 hours to 6 months. Then, when the user performs a topup Rp 5,000, was given access to additional 240 hours total there are 360 hours of free internet access for a period of 6 months fatherly.
"Through this partnership, Intel also hopes to expand broadband Internet penetration in Indonesia," said Vice President and General Manager of Intel Asia Pacific Gregory Bryant.
Director of Marketing Intel Indonesia Hermawan Sutanto added that this is the first time in the computer-bundling products with free internet package.
Telkom CEO Arief Yahya added that the convenience fee provided through the Intel-Speedy bundling can promote the growth of broadband adoption in Indonesia in accordance with the mandate of the government through the Master Plan for the Acceleration of Indonesian Economic Development (MP3E1).
"The bottom line is affordability, the price is broken down into small pieces or small denomination as is done with Telkom Speedy Instant Card. With Intel, the buyer can 6 months free access," said Arief.
