Facebook sues Money from Site "Wrong Type"



Facebook won the California district court in the case against a number of sites "typosquatters" who use domain names like "gacebook" or "dacebook".

This typosquatters sites trick Facebook users who want to visit but a typo. Traffic is then redirected users to other sites that often contain malicious content.

As quoted from AllThingsD, a total of 100 domain "typo" submitted to Facebook by a court decision.

Typosquatter addition, among these domain names are also websites are deliberately derail Facebook name, such as "facebookfreezer.com" and "wwwfaceboobs.com".

The social networking company also decided entitled to receive compensation amounting to 2.8 million U.S. dollars, or approximately USD 27 billion.

Facebook is known industriously pursuing typosquatter site that utilizes previous popularity and has successfully taken over hundreds of domains. However, this time including the outcome of the first grant request compensation from Facebook.
