Fear Myanmar Muslim Attacked Again


Muslims in Myanmar said they feared for the safety after a deadly attack from Buddhist extremists. The day after the attack, local people to escape and hide in the woods on Wednesday (1/5).

"We ran to the field and did not bring anything with us," said a father of 47, Hla Myint reported PressTV.

Residents assess problems could arise in the village. "They threw stones at our house at night and they do not speak to us in the morning," said the Muslim population, Ko Ko Naing.

According to some residents, as many as 400 armed Buddhist extremists bricks and sticks attacked villages Okkan. They are targeting Muslim shops and robbing two mosques. One person was killed and ten others injured.

"When a lot of people come in, they shout to destroy the mosque," he said.

The extremists set fire to a mosque and destroying houses. Three remote villages worst hit by the attack. At least 60 homes burned in every village. Police said they arrested at least 18 people in the case.

The violence that was initially targeted at the Muslim Rohingya in western Myanmar began to spread to other parts of the country. Sekutar 800 thousand Rohingya Muslims in Rakhine state of western deprived of their nationality discrimination policy.
