Board Forum of Tahfidz House in Palembang, South Sumatra prepared
Qur'an laboratory development in May 2013. Chairman of Board, Masagus
Fauzan Yayan said the aim to build the lab was to support the growth and
improvement quality of tahfidz educational institutions the Quran
memorizers. Tahfidz is Arabic term for a person who memorize Quran.
Yayan added they also would build a house 'Graha Tahfidz' which would
be the center of training and research on Islam. Construction of
support facilities at micro level, such as Quran learning for basic
level (TPA) requires substantial funds. "We need help from community,"
he said on Monday.
The number of tahfidz houses in South Sumatra are gradually
increasing, although its development is not as fast as expected. Since
it's developed in South Sumatra two years ago, the number of tahfidz
houses in the province has reached 33 units. The number will increase to
reach at least 100 tahfidz house.
