Egyptian cleric called Mursi demonstrators infidels and hypocrites


Mohammed Abdul-Maqsoud, Salafi cleric in Egypt recently called the protesters to be demonstrating against President Mohammed Mursi are hypocrites and infidels.

"I pray to God to unbelievers and hypocrites that group will repent," said Abdul-Maqsoud is also the head of the Salafi Authority, as reported by Al Arabiya television on Monday (17/6).

Responding to the statement, one of the group members Karim Abdulhafiz rebel movement questioned the authority of the clergy as guardians of the teachings of Islam.

"We told all the Egyptians believed the flow of all the murderers and corrupt hypocrites are the Muslim Brotherhood and their followers," he said.

He also criticized the Muslim Brotherhood which he regarded as the real culprits.

"The people of Egypt did not care anymore. They know who the real hypocrites, who the murderer, and who the real criminals, and they know exactly what the Muslim Brotherhood."

The protesters plan to hold a demonstration of anti-Mursi massive June 30, the anniversary of the Mursi became president.
