Success Thanks to Dual Nationality Indian Diaspora

India is one country that expertly utilize their diaspora for the development of the country. Surefire way that they use is to provide dual citizenship for citizens of Indian origin all over the world.

Diaspora Indonesian president Mohamad Al-Arief said that India has a special card called the People of Indian Origin (PIO). This card is like a passport valid for residents of Indian descent abroad.

With PIO, foreign nationals of Indian origin have the same rights as citizens of India. They can come to India without any visa or permit. In India, they are also free to buy property, open a bank account and open a business.

"This is an example of a public policy that is conducive to economic development," said Arief told the journalist in Jakarta, Friday, June 14, 2013.

India has about 35 million diaspora around the world. PIO can be owned by any person who has Indian blood, not to be born in India. For the present it is not too difficult. This is what ultimately makes people smarter offspring the country back to India.

In this way too the most rapidly growing Indian diaspora diaspora than the other. "Talk about the Indian diaspora has existed since 2000, while this new forum created specifically for 2004," said Arief.

One of the real proof is in the development of some regions in India conducted by the diaspora. There are 19 companies listed information and technology in the state-run diaspora. These companies have provided jobs for 200,000 WN India.

Diaspora desk chief at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs M. Wahid Supriyadi said that this is being pursued by the government since Congress recommended the Indonesian Diaspora to-1 in the United States.

Based on the recommendations, ultimately creating PP. 31/2013 which includes ex it easy for citizens to obtain a multiple entry visa for two years. "Besides India, there are 20 other countries that provide dual nationality. Among them was Australia, Morocco and Greece," said Wahid.

Planned to be held at the Second Congress of Indonesian Diaspora coming August 18 to 20 in Jakarta. At this congress will set up 11 task forces for the diaspora. Hopefully, the task force will provide an important contribution of the diaspora to the homeland.
