When
the Prophet Muhammad emigrated to Medina, he felt the importance of
building a house of worship that can be used together Muslims. Therefore,
the company of friends, the Messenger build the first mosque in the
history of Islam who became known as the Quba mosque '.
As described by historians, Masjid Quba 'has a very simple architecture. The walls are made of clay, poles and roofs of palm trees and bark and ground floors only. When the immigrants intend to restore the mosque the Prophet refused.
Although outwardly Quba mosque 'is very simple but Allah calls this mosque as the mosque was built on the basis of piety since its inception. While people who are in it are the ones who are always cleaning themselves (Surah Attaubah [9]: 108).
After the Quba mosque 'stand and became the center of Muslim hypocrites start feeling uneasy over the close brotherhood among Muslims. They then build a great mosque in Medina Dhirar to divide and weaken the fraternal unity of Muslims.
Allah describes the motivation behind the establishment of the mosque Dhirar in His Word: "And (among the hypocrites that) there are people who set up the mosque to cause harm (to the believers) and because of infidelity-(her), and to break down split among the believers, as well as the waiting / watching the arrival of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, since long ago. "(Surat At-Tawbah [9]: 107).
Knowing the bad strategy hypocrites, the Prophet ordered his companions to demolish the mosque. Then the location of the building used as a mosque Dhirar landfills and animal carcasses.
Thus the end of the mosque that was founded on the basis of hypocrisy and bad faith, intent to divide Muslims, conduct propaganda that sparked hostility among fellow Muslims. (A. Khoiru Anam)
